Andrea Wagner joins Shiftgig as VP of Enterprise Sales

Wagner Joins Team to Help Carry Out Company’s Enterprise Sales Strategy

CHICAGO, May 12, 2017 – Shiftgig, the mobile platform that connects businesses with vetted, hourly workers, recently added Andrea Wagner to the executive team as the new VP of Enterprise Sales. In her new role, Wagner will oversee all sales functions within the company, both at a corporate and local level.

Wagner, who spent eight years as Director of National Sales at CareerBuilder.com., followed by two years as VP of Enterprise at Bullhorn Staffing, felt the move to Shiftgig was a logical next step given her Chicago ties, and expertise in the HR space.

“I’m excited to join the Shiftgig team, and to help build a great sales culture here,” Wagner said. “It’s also just a really fun place to be, at a very important point in the industry’s evolution.”

According to Eddie Lou, Shiftgig’s CEO and co-founder, the decision to hire Wagner was a simple one.

“We felt strongly that Andrea’s background would be an ideal fit for the direction we’re headed at Shiftgig,” Lou said. “She brings a wealth of experience to our executive team, and we truly feel she will help take our sales team to the next level.”

For Wagner, the decision to move to Shiftgig was also a personal one. As a mom of twin girls, she relates to the flexibility of the gig economy from a personal perspective, and appreciates the choice that Shiftgig offers.

“The desire to work in this way is increasing at a rapid rate — and not just with Millennials,” Wagner said. “We already see other groups joining the gig economy — stay-at-home-moms, new retirees, and really anyone who sees the benefit and impact of this type of work.”
