Shiftgig CEO Rick Bowman Named to Crain’s 2018 Notable LGBTQ Executives List

Today Crain’s announced its list of 2018 Notable LGBTQ Executives in Chicagoland who have positively impacted their workplaces and communities. We’re proud to announce that Shiftgig’s CEO, Rick Bowman, was included on this inaugural list. The list also includes leaders from different sectors including finance, nonprofits, media and the arts. Crain’s noted that all honorees are “advancing their industries, workplace equality and civic engagement in Chicago.”

On being named to the list, Rick said, “It’s an honor to be featured in Crain’s first Notable LGBTQ Executives feature. It’s critical that company leaders across Chicago continue looking for ways to eliminate both conscious and unconscious bias in hiring and employment practices. I look forward to building on our inclusive environment at Shiftgig, and supporting the Chicago LGBTQ community.”

Rick is the driving force behind Shiftgig’s innovation and strategy. He joined the company as CTO in June 2017 and prior to that, he served as the Chief Software Officer for Morningstar. Rick also worked as the Senior Vice President of engineering for HelloWallet.
