Eduardo, Salsa Dance Instructor and Shiftgig Specialist

If there’s anyone in Miami that knows management, service, and leadership, it’s Shiftgig Specialist Eduardo. Originally a native to New York City, Eduardo has nearly 15 years of experience as a corporate facilities and property manager. His leadership skills don’t come entirely from his property manager positions, however, as Eduardo is a part-time salsa dance instructor and performance team member. In fact, he’s performed in several cities throughout the U.S.

Eduardo didn’t move straight from The Big Apple to Miami. In 2011, his wife landed an amazing job opportunity in São Paulo, Brazil. During the four years he and his wife lived in Brazil, Eduardo not only became fluent in Portuguese, he also founded a small English teaching and translation business. If that isn’t impressive enough, he also speaks a third language and has traveled to nearly 20 countries around the world.

After relocating to the US after his adventures abroad, Eduardo tried to restart his facilities management career, but had some difficulty. So instead, he took his skills as a former bartender and decided to work in the hospitality industry. He found Shiftgig through his search for flexible work and it fit nicely with his part-time work lifestyle.

Eduardo enjoys having responsibilities, but not having a set schedule. “Working with Shiftgig helps me earn extra money by filling any gaps in my work week”, he explained. “I now regularly pick up one or two shifts a week as a banquet bartender at an oceanfront South Beach Hotel in Miami Beach. Other Shiftgig clients have granted me ‘All-Star’ status, but I’ve also picked up a variety of different shifts through the app before picking up my regular bartending shifts”.
