The event focuses on the rapid evolution of how consumers discover, shop and buy—from new technologies and business models to changes in consumer preferences and expectations.

We’ve already talked a lot here on our blog about how the retail industry can really benefit from the use of an on-demand workforce. Things like seasonality, turnover and fluctuating consumer trends all make staffing retail stores and warehouses a bit more unpredictable that some other industries.
And, people matter. For customer-facing roles, having a trained, professional, enthusiastic person is important. The level of customer service we receive – whether in person or online – can mean the difference between a repeat or a lost customer.
