Held annually in Chicago’s Grant Park, Lollapalooza welcomes more than 160,000 music festival goers. Typically the event is held over a three-day period, though it was announced that in 2016 it would be expanded to four days.

Past lineups have included big names like Eminem, Paul McCartney, Kanye West, Beastie Boys, Pearl Jam, Coldplay, and Florence + The Machine. This summer’s lineup includes Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lana Del Rey, Ellie Goulding, and J. Cole, among many others.

If you’ve managed to get your hands on tickets, consider yourself lucky. Tickets sold out online almost instantly. While general admission tickets started at $120 for a day pass, resale tickets are being sold for almost double.

Technically this event is a bit later in the summer – Labor Day weekend to be exact. This electronic musical festival is held on Randall’s Island in New York City and welcomes over 85,000 attendees over three days.

Since its creation in 2009, headlines have included Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Deadmau5, and TIESTO. This summer, fans are excited to welcome Bassnectar, Porter Robinson, and The Chainsmokers, among over 60 other performers.

Tickets are still available for those who want to attend and start at $80 for one day pass. It’s worth noting that the event is 18+.

Rum Festival, Tampa, FL

Tampa’s Summer of Rum Festival is an all-day event on Labor Day weekend celebrating, you guessed it, rum. The attendance for Rum Festival is evergrowing and consistently manages to sell out.

In order to properly celebrate one of the greatest inventions stemming from sugar cane, Rum Fest will have island themed entertainment all day. Music, drinks, and dancing are the top ways you’ll find event goers celebrating.

If you’re interested in going, you’re in luck! Tickets haven’t sold out (yet) and General Admission starts at only $14. If you’re feeling ultra luxurious, you can buy a VIP ticket that gives you access to unlimited rum tasting.
